Although we primarily photograph newborn babies between 5-12 days old, occasionally we are able to schedule a few “older” babies who have missed that typical sleepy, curly newborn timeframe. Prior to booking these sessions, we always make parents aware that most likely the session will focus on shots of an awake and alert baby, as babies past two weeks generally tend to sleep less deeply during their sessions or are more easily disturbed as we pose them. While we try our best to get some sleeping images, it’s just not a guarantee at this age. Well, meet Baby S. At SIX weeks, he kinda broke almost all those rules!! We told his lovely parents that some sweet, sleeping shots would be a bonus, and well, we got quite a few! And, of course, some adorable awake shots at the end, too. Loved this session and this beautiful new family. It was easy to see the immediate love mommy and daddy had for their handsome little guy. Enjoy some of our favorites from this session. 🙂 ~Jess
