Oh my goodness! What a sweet little guy! He’s another baby that decided to surprise his new mommy and daddy with a very early arrival! Baby T came much earlier than expected, and although we book our schedule based on due dates, we ALWAYS allow for some wiggle room to accommodate babies that decide to buck the system and make unexpected arrivals- lol! With early babies especially, first and foremost, our number one priority is baby’s health, so we schedule their newborn session when the new parents are comfortable. Our session timing guideline for a regular, full term baby is about 5-11 days after birth- but we can always push this and work within a timeframe that makes sense for baby and new parents. 🙂 As with this little guy, we stayed in close contact with his parents in regards to actual length of NICU stay, expected hospital release, etc. We then collectively decided when the time was right for his newborn session, and made room on our schedule to get them in.
