Newborn Photographer Near Me Los Angeles

When mom contacted me about being their Los Angeles newborn photographer again, we were so excited! With another baby on the way, this wonderful family was about to become a family of FOUR! This time with a baby girl! We absolutely loved meeting them for their son’s newborn photography session. Mom and Dad make a gorgeous couple and their kiddos are no exception either! Big brother was a little shy, and mom gave us a heads up on this. We had a plan though! On her side, she started telling him about the upcoming photography session weeks in advance. Even showing him pictures of us from our website and telling him our names. On our side, I made sure we had lots of little toys, treats and prizes on hand for the amazing job I already knew he was going to do. It was really important to win his trust if wanted any kind of chance of photographing him with his new baby sister. Judging from the images we were able to capture, I think we won him over! In fact, at the end of the session, he really didn’t want to stop playing with me!

The first set up in our clean fabric looks was a beautiful all cream look. Accessorizing this pose with a sweet headband and a soft angora wrap perfected it. She looks heavenly in this shot!

I gently guided her into a different pose and kept it simple with just a beautiful pale pink rosette headband.

Since she was still sleeping peacefully, we moved to another all time favorite newborn photography pose. Parents love this shot because is showcases baby’s sweet face perfectly!

With a soft headband and coordinating feather weight wrap, I love the way the soft lavender looks here! The background fabric in these shots has a beautiful, subtle feminine texture. One of my favorites and I use it in almost every one of our baby girl newborn photography sessions!

Next, we moved to our prop shots. Since we were going to be photographing baby with big brother next, we started our prop shots with this vintage farm basket.

When we have siblings under the age of four years old we always like to start with baby inside a prop. This is for newborn safety which is a huge priority for our Los Angeles newborn photography studio. It took a little bit of time for big brother to warm up, but we knew we’d win him over. Eventually, he gave his new sister a little kiss and then he really warmed up……….

I dare say he was actually having FUN too! (*We can not attempt this shot with very active siblings. If they are moving around too much or are too wiggly, this can be unsafe for newborn baby.)

Next up was gorgeous mommy and her sweet girl!Their first professional family portrait as a family of FOUR!

Baby girl’s smile might be telling us how blessed she is feeling with all the love surrounding her! What timing on this one!

Uber handsome Daddy alert! Love this one in black and white!

A kiss from Daddy, and then she woke up and needed to feed. All our newborn photography sessions account for breaks to feed, snuggle, soothe and diaper changes. We do not book more than one newborn session per day, so we are never rushed.

After she finished eating, we swaddled her in a new wrap and added a floral halo with peach accents.

Moving on to more prop shots. Peach looked gorgeous on her! This aerial shot is one of my favorites in the entire gallery.

This look is using our handmade wood baby bed. A top pick from parents! Her little hand placed so delicately under her chin is too cute.

Bigger babies fit perfectly into our chunky wood dough bowl. I love using this lilac ruffle wrap too! It matches perfectly back to our dried floral crown.

All the texture in this shot gives it such an artistic feel. This is our goal in each session! To give parents pieces of art, with their newborn baby as the subject! Nothing feels better to us than delivering a beautiful product!

Last, we ended the session with a textured rug shot in varying shades of lilac and pinks. I heart this image so much. It really doesn’t get better than this for us! 🙂
